Tee Ball A Fun Introduction to Little League

Tee Ball is a non-competitive program designed to emphasize enjoyment, fitness, and foundational skills for players aged 4 to 7. This is where young athletes first encounter the basics of baseball and softball. Little League® International aims to create a Tee Ball experience that prioritizes teaching essential game fundamentals in a fun atmosphere, all while promoting a high level of physical activity.

We encourage our players to register before March 1; however, it’s never too late to join the fun at SKELL. Please note that a late sign-up fee of $15 will apply after April 1st.

Volunteering Opportunities at SKELL

At South Kitsap Eastern Little League (SKELL), there are numerous ways to get involved as a volunteer. Every individual, from our managers and coaches to team parents, umpires, scorekeepers, and even our entire Board of Directors, contributes their time and effort as a volunteer. By participating in our Little League, we aim to guide and shape our players into respectful, trustworthy, and responsible citizens.

Team Structure -  With Tee Ball, the more volunteers helping the team, the better experience for everyone!

  • Each team requires one manager and as many coaches to help assist in managing the team.
  • The manager oversees the team during practices and games.
  • It’s incredibly beneficial for each team to have a Team Parent who helps the manager with administrative tasks.
  • Every team is encouraged to participate in the SKELL-A-Thon Fundraiser and will need a SKELL-A-Thon Organizer to help achieve their fundraising goals.
  • We do not need score keepers or umpires for our Tee Ball Program. If you would like to help an older division with these volunteer opportunities, please contact one of our board members.

Volunteer Requirements

All volunteers must complete the online registration via our website to be eligible to volunteer at SKELL. After completing the registration, volunteers will receive an email from Little League within a few days to finalize their background check through the national data center. Additionally, each volunteer is required to complete the online Abuse Awareness training provided by Little League.
