Overview of Minor Division Teams

Minor Division teams are composed of players League Age 8 to 11 years old. Each year, all teams in this division are completely redrafted. Players from the previous season are not guaranteed to remain with the same team.

Tryout Requirements

• All players League Age 8 to 12 must participate in at least 2 out of the 4 preseason tryout assessments offered by the league.

• Players not selected for a Major Division team will then be placed on a roster for the Minor Division draft.

•  Players League Age 8 cannot be drafted into the Major Division.

Team Selection

• Players and parents do not have the option to choose their team or guarantee a spot with a specific manager or coach.

• Not every new player trying out will secure a spot on a Major Division team; resulting that the player will be drafted to a Minor Division team.

• If a player League Age 9 to 11 fails to attend the required two tryouts, they will be ineligible for the Major Division draft and will automatically be drafted on a Minor Division team.

Registration Deadlines

• Returning Major Division players League Age 9 to 11 must register for the season by February 9.
• Failure to register before this date will result in ineligibility to return to their Major Division team, and they will be drafted to a Minor Division team instead.

Placement Considerations

• Players League Age 8 are not guaranteed a spot on a Minor Division team. If the Player Agent and managers believe a player is not ready, they will be placed on a Coach Pitch team to encourage their development.
• Players League Age 9 to 11 who are not initially drafted into a Major Division team may have the opportunity to be moved mid-season, depending on team availability, though this is not guaranteed.

Siblings

• During the drafting process, siblings will be placed on the same team unless parents request otherwise. If parents prefer their children not to play on the same team, the Player Agent must be informed before February 9.
