Definition of an All Star Manager
A SKELL All Star Team Manager is a primary leader selected by the league to oversee the development, strategy, and conduct of an All Star team. The Manager serves as the official representative of the league and is responsible for the actions of their coaching staff, players, and parents. The All Star season begins immediately upon selection and concludes only after the team’s final tournament game has been played.
Selection Guidelines & Requirements
To be eligible for selection as an All Star Manager or Coach, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Financial Commitment: A $50 uniform fee is required for all selected Managers and Coaches.
Expertise: Candidates are evaluated based on their deep knowledge of Little League baseball/softball and their specific experience within their division.
Rules Proficiency: Managers must demonstrate a complete understanding of the specific tournament rules for their division.
Sportsmanship Record: Selection is heavily weighted on the candidate’s history of integrity, fair play, and positive conduct during the regular season.
Availability: Candidates must commit to being physically and mentally present—arriving early—for all practices and games throughout the duration of the All Star season.
